Dear Edna Jean,
I’m a very masculine middle aged man that likes to wear women’s shoes. I’m often too embarrassed to purchase, or even try on shoes in the store. I have bought shoes online, but they often don’t fit. How do I overcome this fear of trying on and purchasing shoes in a public setting?
– Embarrassed
Dear Embarrassed,
Throw abandon to the wind and get out there and try on those shoes! Nothing is more horrid than looking at a sexy shoe that you can’t wear. Remember that the store is selling a product to be purchased by anyone who as the money. Take friend with you. Engage a clerk and explain that you are a little embarrassed. Make up a story that your daughter is having a “Pumps on Parade Party” and everyone has to wear Pumps and you want to participate but need some assistance.
Bottom line: “Who Cares?” No one does.
And if someone else, call on your inner Diva and serve a cold dish of “kiss this ass!” Think of all those sexy shoes that are yours for the picking. One word of advice: with all those new sexy shoes coming your way, never and I mean NEVER wear heels in wet grass!
